Umpire positioning - where to stand on the pitch.

This is a short PowerPoint presentation showing where the umpire should be standing for various set pieces of play. Many inexperienced umpires, and Level-1 Candidate Umpires sometimes get hopelessly out of position, that they sometimes don't get the best view of the action to enable them to make the right decisions. These basics should help get you started.

1) Stay in front of the ball, with the goal on your right,

2) When play is in your circle make to the goal line and get close to the goals so you can see the goal line.

They are not cast in concrete and everyone will have their variations. But if you start off here, you won't be far wrong.

Pitch Plan - download and print off, for positional coaching, where to stand, etc.
