Clutch

There are various options here, depending on what type of gearbox you have.
If you have a Series 2A box, then I think its best to use a 2A 9½" clutch unit with centre boss for the 2A actuation mechanism.

2A clutch

For the Series 3 box, the Series 3 clutch or a Sherpa van clutch unit can be used. These have a different actuation method and the diaphragm springs do not have the central boss. Either way a new clutch unit would be the best approach, rather than fit a part worn one of unknown mileage. Note that with the 2A system, the setting of the cross shaft actuation arm and wear in its bearings should be looked at, replace if worn. It is very possible that the push rod from the clutch slave cylinder will need to be lengthened using the adjuster, to effect proper clutch release.
I have no experience of the Series 3 situation regarding this.
Fit the gearbox mounting studs, make sure they all fit fully into position. Note that it helps considerably to chase the tapped holes with a suitable tap (5/16" UNC).
